Christmas Day

The boys woke up around 830am and loved how many gifts
they saw under the tree. Jon and I wrapped all night and watched as all of our hard
wrapping work was in the trash minutes later. We all got plenty of gifts and
feel lucky and blessed to have our family back home who still helps us and
spoil the boys.

After all the gifts were unwrapped and most of them opened from their
packaging we stood home all day and played with our new gifts.
Ethan got his 3DS and a Foosball table he really wanted, Jakob got
roller skates he wanted so badly and lots of cars and action figures, Jon
got his XBOX games and I got a watch I love so much.

The boys were spoiled by the grandparents too and got so many toys
and books and clothes too.

Family Christmas pictures 2012

We were meaning to go to the beach with a small Christmas tree
and taking pictures there for our holiday cards this year,
but we have been so busy. Today we noticed that its already
12 days till Christmas so we just did a fast setup in our living room.

Take one: Jakob isn't smiling and Ethan is covering me.

Take two: Jakob is playing with his toes.

Security Forces Santa

Jon's Squadron had a family Christmas party yesterday with
different activities for the kids, lots of junk and food and Santa was
going to be there. Santa was one of the Sergeants Jon knows.

Jakob was so excited when he heard Santa from outside the building,
he ran straight outside with 3 cookies he made for Santa.
Still has his cookies on the plate for Santa.

The boys thought it was so cool he came in a military truck.

Santa called each kid up one by one and by their name
to come get a gift.

It was a nice little family Christmas party they put together. After this
we went down to a neighbors house to watch the boxing fight and
have dinner and drinks.

Base Tree/Tower lighting ceremony

On base this past week the Air Force had a ceremony for the kids with live music,
bounce houses, game booths, craft centers, food and pictures with Santa.
We brought along one of our good friends daughter that Ethan goes to school with
and enjoyed a couple of hours at the event running around trying to do everything
they were interested in. Everything was free, very surprising and they really did
have a lot for the kids.

We stood in line for about 30 minutes for the Home Depot craft.
All the kids made something different.

Freedom Tower on base covered with lights and
looking like a Christmas tree.

After we did the Santa Clause line and took a picture with him
all the kids got a present from Santa and we listen to the concert for a little bit,
but the kids were hungry so we took them out for dinner.

Christmas Tree

We got a fake tree this year. It was hard work to find one here on this island.
They sold out fast, went to so many different stores and almost
just stopped to pick up a real one. Target ended up having the size I was
looking for so we got one!

small 6.5 ft. tree
I cant wait for next year to get a white one.
I'm going to put that one in the dinning room though
