Soccer

First day of Soccer practice.

Jon is the couch for Ethan's team this season. They are both very very excited to start this season. Ethan's first year playing and Jon's first time coaching. They both don't know what they are doing out there but thats what is making it fun. We have an awesome neighbor across the street from us that will be having his son join our team and he will be assisting Jon coaching too. The funny thing we are trying to figure out is what to call both coaches because they are both Jon !!! haha

Jakob and I will be enjoying the season on the sidelines cheering them on and laughing at all the goofy things these kids do. Very exciting to be keeping busy with the boys and all the sports coming up. Cant wait to post all the pictures of Ethan do his thing out theres.

World's Biggest Mini Air show

 

Today we attended a cool air show off "Ford Island" which is only 5 minutes from base. I heard about it all over base and saw posters that it was a free event and great for the kids so I took the boys and a neighbor of ours that has two little girls with us. It must have been the hottest day since we landed in Hawaii because we all came back home a little red. We were surprised at how hot it was, the weather has been between 82-86 degrees since we've been here for over a month now, but it got up to 95 today so we felt the difference.

Jon actually got posted for security at the gate for this part of base so it was nice to see him working and the boys seeing what daddy does while at work. He got to come meet us at the show for a little bit but then had to go back to the gate to check ID's. haha

They got to go inside and check out how it looks inside the helicopters and airplanes.

Hundred of little or "mini" remote control airplanes and helicopters were parked where we can check them out, well behind the small orange fence. We want one to put in the boys room. They are really neat.

First skate board fall

Ethan is learning how to ride his skateboard now. Luckily Jon grew up skateboarding everywhere and can teach Ethan. He fell a few times and got his first scrape on his ankle. After cleaning it up he was a little scared to go back out so he jumped on his scooter instead for a couple of days but now he is back on that skateboard.

Lets hope all we have to deal with are scrapes and bruises.
